Bouncing Tracks : Is There an Easier Way?

audition3Why is it that even with today’s computer processing speeds, we still have to bounce tracks? I know it’s a stupid question. But it gets aggravating when you’re in your “zone” and find out you have to bounce some tracks before you can do anything else. You have to somehow keep yourself in that zone, and only after you’ve bounced a few tracks can you go back to what you were doing.

What if it’s more than a few you need to bounce? Well, I guess you’re out of luck and you might need to spend time “away from the mix” as they say.

When they build processors that can handle a lot of plugins, what do plugin companies do? I tell you what they do, they build their plugins that are more processor intensive. A wicked circle insues.

The only thing I know to do is use Pro Tools TDM where they have a hybrid system.

Is there any alternitaves to TDM? Something simi-native?
